01Who is responsible for your information
The Anusandhan National Research Foundation is responsible for personal information collected through this portal.
Questions about this policy, or about information held about you, can be sent to privacy contact email address.
02What we collect
When you make a contribution, we collect:
- Your name and email address. Required, because a receipt has to be issued to someone and sent somewhere.
- Phone number, affiliation and city. Optional. Provided only if you choose to.
- PAN. Required for contributions of ₹2,000 or more, because a deduction under section 80G cannot be claimed without it.
- The programme you selected, the amount, and any note you write about how you would like the contribution used.
We do not collect, transmit or store card numbers, UPI credentials, CVV or one-time passwords at any point. Payment details are entered on the payment gateway’s own page and never reach our systems.
03Why we need it
- To process your contribution and confirm it succeeded
- To issue a receipt and support an 80G claim
- To answer queries and handle refund requests
- To meet accounting, audit and statutory record-keeping duties
- To contact you about the contribution and the programme it supports, where you have agreed to that
04Who else sees it
We share personal information only where necessary:
- Our payment gateway and bank, to process the transaction and settle funds. They receive your name, email and phone number as part of the payment request.
- Tax and regulatory authorities, where required by law, including reporting associated with 80G.
- Auditors and professional advisers, under a duty of confidentiality.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for third-party marketing.
05Anonymous contributions
Choosing to give anonymously means your name will not appear in any public acknowledgement of donors.
It does not mean the contribution is anonymous to ANRF. We must still hold your details to issue a receipt and to meet our statutory obligations.
06How long we keep it
Records of contributions are retained for as long as required by applicable accounting and tax law, and thereafter only where there is a continuing need.
The specific retention period is to be confirmed by ANRF.
07How it is protected
- All traffic is encrypted in transit using HTTPS
- PAN and other sensitive fields are encrypted at rest
- Personal information is never written to application logs, which record only a transaction reference
- Access to donor records is restricted to authorised personnel
- Data is hosted in India
08Your choices
You may ask us to:
- Tell you what information we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Stop contacting you about programmes and appeals
- Delete your information, so far as we are not required to retain it for statutory purposes
Write to privacy contact email address with your request and a transaction reference where you have one.
09Cookies
This portal does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not profile visitors.
The payment gateway may set cookies of its own on its pages, which are governed by its privacy policy rather than this one.
10Changes
Any change to this policy will be published on this page with a revised date. Contributions already made continue to be governed by the policy in force at the time.
